how to commission
a bespoke piece of jewellery
it couldn't be easier! just contact hanna to book a free no-obligation chat about your commission. the process usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. sometimes a piece can be made faster. it really depends on design and materials chosen. how ever long the process takes hanna will make sure that you are well informed at every step on the way.
the process starts with an in-depth conversation about the bespoke piece of jewellery one is looking for. this can be done in the relaxing surroundings of hanna's studio over a delicious cup of coffee/tea or over emails and phone calls. hanna will ask you about materials, designs and a budget that you might already have in mind. from there it simply continues with good old-fashioned pencil and paper, there's something very special about hand drawn sketches and renderings. it can go from tweaking one of hanna's existing designs to creating something from scratch. hanna can even make a 3D mock up model using silver or base metal to help with deciding the final design. written quotes are provided with each design option.
after a design and price is being agreed and given a go ahead, 30% deposit is paid and the making process can begin. the piece will often be completed within 4 weeks. you will be given an exact date the piece will be finished by.
you don't necessarily need to visit hanna in her studio. sketches and ideas can be emailed and 3D models send to get a final go ahead. she's always happy to take your call to have a chat about the commission. she has had bespoke orders from different continents so a distant location shouldn't put you off of owning a genuine bespoke piece made by hanna tommola.
