​”tuohi” is finnish and means “birch tree bark”. it’s a material that was and is still used today in scandinavia to create sustainable everyday items. as a little girl hanna was being taught by her grandfather how to work this versatile and durable material. when working with precious metals she still uses the same techniques she learned as a child. in her work she aims to bring out the same soft and subtle qualities that these materials share.

tuohi collection is celebrating the values learned from the past generations. values from time when objects were made to last. hanna’s designs are handmade and ageless. she hopes they stand against the ever changing nature of fashion.
